INTERNATIONAL CO-OPERATION 

The QFC Regulatory Authority places great importance on co-operation with other regulators and international organisations. This is achieved through bilateral and multilateral forums.

The QFC Regulatory Authority is a member of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (“IAIS”) and is a signatory to the IAIS Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding(“MMoU”). The QFC Regulatory Authority has continuously worked to strengthen its efforts with the IAIS. This has been achieved through the QFC Regulatory Authority’s membership in the IAIS Macro-prudential Policy Surveillance Working Group and the Signatories Working Group. The QFC Regulatory Authority is also an Associate Member of the International Organisation of International Securities Commissions (“IOSCO”) and contributes to IOSCO’s work through participation in the Africa/ Middle-East Regional Committee. The QFC Regulatory Authority is also a full signatory to the IOSCO MMoU Concerning Consultation and Cooperation and the Exchange of Information.
