Captive Insurance
Captive Insurance is one of the Qatar Financial Centre Authority’s (QFCA) three hub development strategies (along with Asset Management and Reinsurance). The compelling case for the growth of the captive insurance industry in Qatar is made by the QFCA on its website and in its corporate documents.
Following consultation with global captive insurance managers, the new Captive Insurance Business Rules 2011 (“CAPI”) came into effect on 1 July 2011.
