Jeremy joined the QFC Regulatory Authority in February 2010, bringing with him a long track-record in the media and communications industries. Jeremy began his career in commercial property journalism during which time he won several accolades, including in 1996 the coveted magazine industry titles of both Best New Business Journalist and Best New Magazine Journalist. In 1998, Jeremy joined Sunday Business as part of its launch team and later enjoyed stints writing for both The Times of London and the Financial Sunday Express (for which he was nominated Business Journalist of the Year in 2004) before being appointed Deputy Editor of European Business. In 2004, Jeremy left journalism to join Sovereign Global, a multi-billion dollar private investment group based in Dubai. As VP of Communications, he was responsible for the communications surrounding one of the largest proxy battles in Asia of the last decade. Jeremy joined Bell Pottinger in Dubai in early 2006, moving to Doha in September 2006 to establish Bell Pottinger’s operations in Qatar as a licensee in the Qatar Financial Centre. Jeremy’s client work while at Bell Pottinger included the Qatar Financial Centre Authority, Bahrain’s Economic Development Board, the Qatar Foundation; HH Sheikha Mozah’s Silatech initiative and frequent consultative visits to Abu Dhabi counselling both government and private sector clients. |
