We are aware that there has long been some confusion regarding the various entities within the QFC, and it has not always been clear to those outside the QFC as to ‘who’ is administering ‘what’. To address this issue, we have recently undertaken a brand refreshment exercise that, while not wishing to break with our QFC connection, seeks to emphasise what it is we do, hence the new logo’s emphasis on the Regulatory Authority. 

The Regulatory Authority is a corporate body owned and funded by the State of Qatar. As such our senior leadership report directly to Qatar’s Council of Ministers, which appoints our Board.

Our Board members play an essential role in ensuring our independence as a regulator. This need for independence is recognised by all international regulatory standard setting bodies, and is crucial to our ability to function fairly and effectively, and without fear of interference.

Our senior executives are drawn from around the world – and so bring with them the global expertise required in regulating ever more complex, interconnected markets.

As an organisation, we celebrate talent wherever we find it and actively encourage Qataris into careers with the Regulatory Authority. Our Graduate Fellowship Training Programme, targeting new Qatari graduates, is now in its fourth year and has already produced several key members of our professional team.
