1. Composition of total assets The insurance sector’s total assets increased by 36% from QAR
3.4 billion to QAR 4.6 billion over the 12-month period ending 31
December 2016, reflecting significant growth of the sector in 2016.
The composition of total assets remained fairly consistent and was
dominated by cash and other investments.
