7. Composition of income Investment profit constituted a major source of income to most
statement firms, even offsetting some firms’ negative underwriting results. In
the second quarter of 2016, many firms incurred underwriting losses
in respect of their medical insurance business due to regulatory
changes in relation to the National Health Insurance Scheme.
